from Sony. It’s a good deal, and it should really be considered when you’re looking at buying a new TV for your home.
4. LG OLED65QNU8000
LG’s OLED TVs have been a real revelation over the past few years, and now, we’ve got the chance to go hands-on with the new TV that arrived. The 2018 model is the LG OLED65QNU8000.
The TV runs Android TV 8.1, and it’ll run you the same excellent, powerful smart TV apps that you know from generations past. It’ll also look just as good as previous models, and it has a new LED backlit screen that should be more comfortable to use in direct sunlight.
In terms of sound quality, the LG OLED65QNU8000 is a pretty good bet to match any smart TV. It’s not as good as the sound quality of many other speakers on the market, but it definitely isn’t bad.
The only thing that could be improved is the remote, which is a bit clunky and won’t work well with Android and Roku. If you’re looking for a simple remote that’s good enough that you won’t have to spend money on a separate remotes, this isn’t the model for you.
The LG OLED65QNU8000 is a great buy for a solid, affordable TV, but it’s not the best smart TV for your money.
5. Vizio E-Series
Vizio’s E-Series smart TV is one of the best TVs we’ve used. It’s a good deal for the price, too, with a great sound, plenty of content, and a smart interface.
For $300 and up, you get a TV that’ll have you playing for years with a smart interface built into it. All the apps, including the HBO Now and Netflix, work well and are easy to access via Google Cast.
While it doesn’t have a high-end processor, the Vizio E-Series is still a TV that’ll play well, and we’re happy to say that it’s one of our favorite smart TVs to date. The backlighting is a nice touch, too, and we love how the Vizio E-Series supports Chromecast.
The Vizio E-Series is a great buy for a solid, affordable TV, but it’s not the best smart TV for your money.
6. Samsung QN55E9
Samsung’s QN55E9 smart TV has a lot of the features found in the S55E in a relatively inexpensive package. It runs Samsung’s TVOS, has a 1080p resolution, and has two HDMI ports. The only big difference is the QN55E’s smaller resolution, which is slightly smaller than the S55E, but still makes room for content.
It also supports HDR, which is a nice touch for the price, and Samsung’s One app is easy to use. We think the QN55E9 is a great investment for the price, though, as it’s the only smart TV that can play content from your smartphone or tablet wirelessly.
The Samsung QN55E9 is a great bargain at $500.
