How to Choose the Best Headphones for Your Needs
We bought three pairs of In-ear headphones to try out for two weeks. We wanted a pair that included all the features we’d consider for the top Bluetooth wireless earbuds for men, and a pair with more flexibility in the form of built-in controls. We also considered how comfortable these earbuds were, how secure they were on the head and ears, and how portable they felt.
While the earbuds we tested were reasonably secure to the ears, it’s not always the case that a pair stays that way. In our testing, we found that some earbuds have a tendency to bounce around or get stuck in the ear canal because of their shape, and we found that the earbuds that stayed put were the ones that were the easiest to hold in place.
For these reasons, we think it’s important to figure out what works for your particular needs and preferences. You can’t just pick a pair of headphones you’ll fall in love with and then be unable to find a good one for your needs.
So, which earbuds should you buy for your needs? If you wear glasses, you probably want a pair that’s big enough to fit your glasses comfortably, and the earbuds we tested fit the bill. If you wear glasses, a smaller pair is probably the best choice.
All of the earbuds we tested were easy to get in and out, but the most frustrating thing about them was that they tended to fall out. That’s why we like to use the in-ear buds we got from the box, and then use the earbuds that came with our sample packs.
The only other thing that’s a bit of a bummer about this whole experience is that you have to wait for the buds to heat up, so they don’t work as well as some of the other earbuds we tried. And we still have to hold them in place when we open them.
The best earbuds for men
In our testing, we found that the Jabra Elite Sport and the Jabra Elite Fusion were the most comfortable earbuds we tried, and their thick rubber headband is the softest we tried. The Jabra Elite Fusion are also one of the most expensive earbuds we tested, and they’re built to stand up to wear and abuse.
The buds we tested came with in-ear controls, and they worked well with the Jabra Easy Fit Bluetooth earbuds we purchased for testing. The in-ear controls were easy to use and the fit was secure. In addition, all of the controls were easily accessible, so we didn’t feel like there was a whole lot of finger work to hold these controls in place.
The Jabra Elite Sport and the Jabra Elite Fusion are also one of the only earbuds we tried that comes with a built-in noise-canceling microphone. You can use it to play music, but it doesn’t do anything to block out the world. You can also use it to give voice commands to your friends. Plus, it’s one of the very few options available that you can use with your smartphone, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally triggering Siri when it’s playing.
